Procedure
- Store Opening. Doors open at 7:30 am on public sale days. A representative of the MSU Surplus Store will make a brief announcement, then release customers into the store.
- Price Tags. Unless otherwise stated, all merchandise for sale will be individually marked with a price tag. The price tag will be separate from a sale item only under certain conditions, such as items that are located outside the building. Under those circumstances, the prices may be written directly on the item, or the price tag will be displayed on a stand immediately inside the first overhead door of the building. Please ask a representative of the MSU Surplus Store about the status of such items.
- Price Tag in Hand Claims Ownership. All general merchandise will be sold to the public on a first come, first served basis.
- Merchandise Availability. All merchandise will be placed on display at the MSU Surplus Store for MSU departmental viewing and/or sale prior to the day it is offered for public sale. All sales are on an "as is", "where is" basis. There are no exchanges or refunds and no guarantees regarding the condition of the merchandise. Please see General Terms and Conditions of Sale for more information.
- Pick Up of Purchase. General merchandise may be picked up during both Public Viewing and Public Sale hours. All merchandise that is sold and paid for in full should be removed the day of the sale or by the end of the next public sale day, unless special arrangements are made with a representative of the MSU Surplus Store. A copy of the sales receipt must be presented when picking up merchandise.
